Unlimited Travel + Hotel Stay Memberships - usjapanfam

We all love a good buffet, but did you know that strategy has crossed over into the world of travel? Yes, you can purchase memberships now that offer unlimited flights, hotel stays, camping, heck, even cruising!! But they often come with a hefty price tag, many restrictions, hidden fees, and the dreaded long list of blackout dates. So let's take a look at some of these cool offers, and see if they might be perfect for you, or too good to be true...
Disclaimer: The following is what I've gleamed through my own research. There may be some mistakes or updates, so please do your own due diligence. This is more of a jumping off point for those curious about the topic!

Frontier GoWild! Pass

UNLIMITED FLIGHTS:
Frontier GoWild Pass

Cost & Details:
$599 (on sale for a while at $349) Annual Pass + $0.01 per booking and taxes and fees
They also have monthly and seasonal passes but we won't cover those in this post).
You can buy a domestic ticket from 12:01 for the next day for $0.01 (if available) and international ticket up to 10 days ahead.

Restrictions:
  • There's no rhyme or reason why GWP tickets are available on some flights, and not on others, so it can be difficult to get the flight you want. Many pass holders will stay up til 12:01am to try to grab a GWP ticket before they're sold out.
  • New as of 2026: if your first flight starts the next day but has an overnight layover, the final leg will incur an early booking fee since it isn't technically "next day". So, if you can't find a direct flight, try to either find a flight that starts SAME DAY as booking, or find a flight first thing tomorrow morning, which will allow for the 2nd leg to be on the same day as the 1st leg.
  • New as of 2026: you can book international flights up to 10 days ahead, but if you have a domestic connecting flight, it will incur an "early booking fee" if further away than next day.

Hidden Fees:
  • The taxes and fees do add up.  Usually about $16 for a non-stop domestic flight, $26-31 for a 2-leg flight, and $36-$115 for an international flight. And if you book before the right window, there is a large "early booking fee" tacked on, often $75 or so. No seat selection or baggage is included either, so either pack light in your <18x14x8" personal item, or get the Frontier Credit Card for free baggage.

The Takeaway:
I bought a GoWild Pass in November 2025 and was able to use it for a great trip to Dominican Republic in January. They've since updated terms to make it much harder to travel internationally if you don't live in a hub i.e. require a domestic leg. Make sure you really research the ins and outs of what you can and can't do with this pass - it's AMAZING for some, and a total waste of money for others.

Noteworthy:
Frontier's sister airline WizzAir also has an All-You-Can Fly Pass! 499 euros per 12 months, plus 9.99 euro per flight segment. Book from 3 days to 3 hours before a flight (availability and blackout dates apply). All international routes are included but not domestic Italian routes.

UNLIMITED HOTEL STAYS:
Landing Standby™

Cost:
$1,495 for unlimited stays at fully furnished Landing apartments in 250+ cities nationwide.

Restrictions:
  • Cannot book in NY or CA.
  • You are basically filling empty rooms... If a regular booking comes in for the unit you're in, you're given a minimum of 3 days notice to pick your next spot and go.

Hidden Fees:
  • $150 cleaning fee per stay.
  • Some stays have extra fees for pets, parking, or special amenities, and some locations may have  local taxes, especially for stays under 30 days.

The Takeaway:
Sounds great for digital nomads who don't have a home base, because this allows for flexibility and is much cheaper than a regular home or apartment in many cities. The $150 per stay cleaning fee makes it NOT a great option for short stays (under 3 days, in my opinion).

Margaritaville Paradise Pass

UNLIMITED CRUISING:
Margaritaville Paradise Pass

Cost:
(Silver Level) $849/year (Gold Level) $1,599 for a double occupancy room on unlimited cruises through 12/31 of the year booked.

Restrictions:
  • Book 24hrs to 30 days in advance.
  • 19 blackout dates in Nov/Dec.
  • Only 1 active pass booking allowed at a time.

Hidden Fees:
  • Second passenger is included BUT you both have to pay port fees, fuel supplements, government taxes and fees, and gratuity, which adds up.
  • Single occupancy surcharge of $159 or $249 depending on length of the cruise.

The Takeaway:
Potentially worth it if you LOVE Margaritaville cruises and can take at least 2, with a friend or partner.

Amtrak USA Rail Pass

UNLIMITED RAIL:

Amtrak's USA Rail Pass

Cost:
USA Rail Pass ($499), ride 10 rail segments within 30 days.
They also have the California Rail Pass but we won't go over those details in this post.

Restrictions:
  • Pass is only valid for 120 days after booked, and 30 days after 1st leg is used.
  • Not a ticket. Use it to book tickets in coach class, applicable for all Amtrak trains except Auto Train, Acela, Thruway bus connections (7000-7999 series), and the Canadian portion of trains operated jointly by Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada.
  • No blackout dates.

The Takeaway:
Comes down to an average of $50 per train segment, so if you plan to do a lot of long distance train travel in 1 month, it would be a good deal.
