I have been thinking for a while about what I could do to create a fun activity; trying to figure out a way to bring us "together" and at the same time, support some of the businesses in our area who have been hit hard.
So here it is, the big Bay Ridge Scavenger Hunt! You'll have to look for things while walking around, it may be you find it right in your backyard but hopefully you'll take a walk around our wonderful neighborhood. Keep your eyes open and I encourage you and your families, to be creative! This will be as fun as you make it, and it can even be a learning opportunity!
You can do as little or as much as possible. There are 10 different scavenger hunts, each with 10 items to find around the neighborhood, and an 11th item being to support a participating business by making a purchase of at least $5.00 -- easy right? There are also some discounts or offers, given by each participant, so be sure to check that out in the Participating Businesses list below. BUT! In order to win one of the prizes, you must complete at least 3 scavenger hunts and provide proof. (Tagging/messaging Bay Ridge Families on social media. More details in RULES below.)

10 full days (including two weekends) in order to allow as many people to participate as much as possible while not over-crowding any areas

TO QUALIFY FOR PRIZES you MUST share at least 3 of the 10 scavenger hunts plus proof of supporting one participating business* (including one of the businesses providing a prize)
DO NOT TOUCH/TAKE any scavenger hunt items
DO TAKE A PICTURE with scavenger hunt items
DO SUPPORT participating business with a minimum $5.00 purchase and check out the list for specific offers
DO SUBMIT a proof of purchase (can be receipt with time stamp, you/your family member with purchased item(s) alongside the business with the BRFScavenger Hunt poster)*
DO SHARE & TAG Bay Ridge Families and use the hashtag #BRFamiliesScavengerHunt and business social media if available (look for poster)
DO be mindful of spaces if you see others by scavenger hunt items or participating locations
