I'm not just another mom blogger, guys! I'm all about keeping it real so you don't feel alone out there, overwhelmed, taking care of your kiddos in a completely chaotic and less than "Pinterest Perfect" house. On this blog, on our YouTube channel, and across social media, I bring you:
How it all began...
After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill, I moved to Japan to teach English through the government sponsored JET Programme. At the end of my very fun 2 year stint, I met my now husband... at a club. Yes, how romantic, right?! HA! But not wanting to put my life on hold for a boy I just met, I returned as planned to America and got settled into a new job in NYC. We did the long distance thing for 2 years, spending way too much money flying halfway across the world to see each other, and finally I decided it was time to move back to Japan to make sure this was really THE ONE. We lived together for a year, got engaged, and had the most amazing destination wedding in Hawaii (read about it here & see our beautiful montage video). After 3 years in Japan together, and after the massive earthquake in 2011, we decided it was time to try life in America. We both quickly found jobs in NYC and a year later our first child was born on Christmas Day 2012 (read his birth story here) and our totally unexpected fraternal twin baby girls were born less than 3 years later (read about that shock and birth).
If raising 3 small humans wasn't enough to keep me busy, I'm also a blogger, youtuber (with over 18 million views across 3 channels!), Amazon Influencer (shop my storefront here), freelance writer and consultant (hire me here!), founder of local publication Bay Ridge Families, e-book writer of Legit Ways to Make Money From Home (While Minding Your Kids and Not Losing Your Mind), Acro Yoga enthusiast, and founder of several local Facebook groups (including Bay Ridge Baby Mamas, Bay Ridge Toddler Mamas, and Bay Ridge Kid Mamas). Being able to stay home with my babies and watch their personalities and abilities grow each and every day is such a blessing (which I take for granted way too much, if I'm being honest because... twins plus one is HARD!!)
