If you are a parent in the Tri-State area and haven't heard of Little Swappies yet, it's time to get in the loop!! They were voted the Most Awesome in the Kids Consignment and Resale Shops category of Red Tricycle's 2013 Totally Awesome Awards and here's why: Little Swappies is TOTALLY AWESOME! LOL! Seriously though. Here's what a Swappies event is like in a nutshell (check out my review of my first swap last year for more details): you buy a ticket ($20 in advance or $25 at the door), bring at least 5 things to donate, get a free raffle entry (tons of great prizes!!), get free child care and stroller cleaning and other fun stuff, and then when the time comes - you go into a big room and go nuts filling a huge tote bag with gently used stuff for your kids! WOOHOOOOO!
They're having their first ever Brooklyn swap event on Sunday, April 27 and I couldn't be more excited!! Enter below to win a ticket to this event. Giveaway will end at 11:59 PM on April 24. Winner will be contacted by e-mail and have 24 hours to respond. If you don't win, just suck it up and buy a ticket anyway - I promise it'll be well worth it! Good luck and see you there!!

Matilda Jane Clothing, full of whimsical and playful designs, was founded by mom Denise DeMarchis back in 2005 and is sold solely through Trunk Shows and hosted parties. As someone who despises spending hours at the mall, I can't imagine a more fun way to go shopping than by hanging out at home while having a drink with friends! LOL! They've recently released their spring collection, It's A Wonderful Parade, which is loaded with frills, florals, and fabulous colors! The fabrics and materials feel really nice, are high quality & comfortable, and they've got great stuff for the entire family! Here i am in their Pippenger Peplum Top. The website says "comfy as a tee" and it's no joke. It looks all sophisticated and structured, but it feels lovely! As with any peplum, you've gotta be careful what you pair it with, since it could make you look a bit preggo (or more than a bit LOL). I paired it with some skinny jeans, boots, and some chunky jewelry, ready to hit the town for a mama's night out! It could just as easily go with some tailored slacks and be totally appropriate for the office, which thankfully I don't have to worry about - joys of a #WAHM!! Here's me in Matilda Jane's Sugar Plum Park Day Dress. I love this dress' versatility. I mean, I could wear it to a play date, drop my little one off with the babysitter, spruce it up with a few extra accessories and nicer shoes, and off to a cocktail party I go! For the photo I paired it with metallic belt, sandals, & earrings - definitely a bit premature but now I'm especially psyched for my first warm day and picnic of the year! Just need to get a pedicure first... ha! Matilda Jane will be giving away $50 Credit to be redeemed on their website or through a Trunk Keeper! Woohoooo!! Giveaway will end April 14 at 11:59 PM. I have been to my fair share of baby expos and I have to say, this one is my favorite, hands down! Of course convenience factors in a bit seeing as how its the only one in my borough, but seriously, this is an AWESOME expo! Great speakers and seminars, exhibitors, free raffles with AMAZING prizes, free child care and entertainment for the little ones... It's big (about 800 attendees) but not overwhelming. In a nutshell it's tons of fun and super helpful - a MUST do for families in the NYC area!
