Giveaway & Review:  Stella Mama Silicone Necklace

1/13/2015

I recently did a post about how awesome silicone is, and here I am with yet another awesome silicone product. This one is a necklace by La Stella della Mamma (you may remember I featured another Stella Mamma silicone necklace design in a giveaway last year). Well, she's just released her 2015 designs and they are absolutely fabulous!!!
US-Japan Fam reviews and giveaway two of Stella Mamma's new line of nontoxic silicone necklaces.
Stella Mamma's 2015 Y-design necklaces come in three colors: black, turquoise, and red. Each color has the option of no-clasp (as shown in the black and red necklaces pictured above - just slip it over your head) or safety break-away clasp (as shown in the turquoise design pictured above - quick release that will not break if your child yanks on it, as they tend to do). Personally, I recommend the non-clasp version. I have a few silicone necklaces in both varieties and find the easy-break clasp a little annoying as it pops open a bit too easy after a few times.

Not only are Stella Mamma's designs fashionable and on trend, the materials are extremely practical. Silicone is non-toxic, BPA-free, and hypoallergenic, so they're perfect for anyone allergic to metals, and for anyone with a child who likes to play with or get their mouths on your necklaces! These are not teething necklaces, per se, however you can be reassured that they are nontoxic can withstand your baby chewing on it under supervision.
US-Japan Fam reviews and giveaway Stella Mamma's silicone necklace to TWO winners!

I can't wear any jewelry now that I have kids and I never dress up, I never go out to dress up anyway. My son smears food all over all of my clothes and would tear anyjewelry I tried to wear off of me! I am almost ready to take out my ear gauge bc he won't leave it in my ear!

I don't typically wear any jewelry, except teething jewelry, anymore b/c of the pulling and trying to chew on. And, I was just wondering, do you mean Tuesday, January 27th? Or is it actually, Tuesday, November 27th, like you wrote?

As moms we all have t prioritize. So after getting 2 boys just with just 10 minutes left to get myself dress accessories kind of fall by the waste line.

I didn't wear jewelry because it was so long ago. My daughter has a great necklace that she wears for her first baby that is baby proof like this silicone necklace. I want to win for her.

I was able to wear my jewelry without too much trouble. Before having my children I used to take my time getting ready for example my hair, makeup etc, and now It all depends some days I have more time than other days.

As soon as I had kids, my earrings stopped being dangly. My necklaces stopped being long, and bracelets were just out the window. I dress up rarely now, but when I do it has to be fast and easy!

I wasn't a huge jewelry fan before kids, but I'd wear my wedding rings and earrings, maybe a nice necklace to church. Now I never wear a *real* necklace because I don't want my baby chewing or breaking it, and I definitely don't wear earrings anymore. I'm a bit paranoid one of the kids would swipe them and rip them out. Ouch! I've been looking at silicone necklaces and I like these!

When my kids are little and nursing I can't wear necklaces because they pull on them but this would work because it is longer and won't break!

It effected me in a major way! I always wore a necklace and earrings, until my first child starting pulling them, breaking a gold chain I had! Since then, which was many years and children ago, I haven't been able to wear jewelry at all, that's why this would be perfect!

I learned (early, but not early enough) to wear jewelry and clothing that wouldn't make me cry when my kiddos spit, snagged, chewed, pulled, yanked, or bled on it. It was worth the sacrifice! My youngest turned 20 today, and I still find myself shopping with the "What's the worst that can happen to this" mentality. :-)

I stopped wearing earrings completely, while I keep the rest of my jewelry to a minimum. I started wearing large, chunky statement necklaces or a large cuff bracelet to finish a look (since jeans and a white tees have become my my go-to staples) because I don't have as much time as I used to to coordinate with multiple pieces of jewelry.

With young children, I wear very little jewelry and what I do wear must be very sturdy.

I still wore it the same because I just taught them that they don't touch it and they learned quickly.

When my kids were younger they would always grab at my jewelry, especially anything that was dangling or that was bright. They are older now and can wear anything I like because they don't grab at my jewelry anymore.
