My son is a picky eater and I'm a terrible cook. Put that together and you have a major struggle to get proper nutrition into a growing boy!! He loves smoothies so I try to sneak some veggies into those, which he guzzles down in his Squeasy Snacker. But what about when we're out and about, or I simply don't have time to whip something tasty and healthy up for him?
Suffice it to say, I couldn't be more thrilled with the new line being rolled out by Happy Family. Their new Love My Veggies pouches are available exclusively at Target (as of April 13), as part of their Made To Matter - Handpicked by Target program. The Happy Family Love My Veggies organic tot snacks are the first pouch to offer ONE FULL SERVING of vegetables (1/4 cup), but your kids won't have a clue - they are really tasty!!
The new Love My Veggies line contains blends such as spinach-apple-sweet potato-kiwi, banana-beet-squash-blueberry, and carrot-banana-mango-sweet potato, with nutrition stats such as 2 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber, and daily values as high as iron (20%), calcium (8%), vitamin A (310%), and vitamin C (60%)! And of course, they're all USDA certified organic by CCOF.
But how do they taste? Well, I couldn't exactly leave it up to my toddler to explain it. Though he would simply say, "YUMMY! More please. MORE POUCH!!" I had to sneak some sucks in myself and will say that they are indeed quite tasty. Also a bit tart, and very smooth!
As mentioned above, the Love My Veggies line is available exclusively at Target, where you can find a 4-pack of 4.22oz pouches for $5.89.
But wait... you can WIN a package of three 4-pack boxes of Happy Family's Love My Veggies line, a placemat, and some coupons in my giveaway!! Open to US residents over the age of 18, enter in the Rafflecopter box below! Giveaway ends at 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, April 26. These look great! We are not to the solid food stage yet, so no favorites, but my good friend has a toddler who would love to try these!
