One by one, we fell like dominos. This is seriously the worst cold I have ever had. Me and all 3 kids have it. These past 2 weeks, with hubby out of town and the rest of us sick as dogs has been, in a word, miserable. Fevers, gunky coughs, snotty noses. My toddler is on antibiotics for the first time, for an ear infection, and I'm possibly dealing with a sinus infection... but mama just doesn't have time or energy to get herself to a doctor, so here's hoping I can fight it off! So, if you were wondering where in the world I've been... well, I've pretty much been in hell! We haven't been out of the house in 10 days (except for a few hours at the pediatrician and drug store)!! I had to break down and order groceries for the first (and 2nd) time. And we've been getting a LOT of meal delivery. I've developed quite a snot-removal system which goes a little something like this:
I really hope this isn't a taste of how it's going to be when my son starts Pre-K in the fall. You hear it's one cold after another when they first start day care or school, I'm definitely not looking forward to that aspect of it, though I'm very excited to have him out of the house (and my hair) on a regular basis!!
On the bright side, at least there was no stomach bug aspect to this! Knock on wood...
